Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about SteriBoost, Nexisâ„¢, MasterPlusâ„¢, and how our system supports sterile processing teams, employers, educators, and workforce development.

What is Nexisâ„¢?

Nexisâ„¢ is an Operational Intelligence System designed for sterile processing and healthcare support operations. It brings training, compliance, workforce visibility, readiness, audits, and operational workflows into one connected operating environment.

How many core capabilities does Nexisâ„¢ have?

Nexisâ„¢ is structured around five core operational capabilities: Training, Compliance, Workforce Visibility, Audit & Accreditation Readiness, and Operational Visibility. These represent the key domains teams need to manage effectively.

Are these separate software tools?

No. These are not separate disconnected software products. They are connected capabilities operating inside one system, allowing teams to manage work in context instead of switching between multiple vendors or siloed applications.

What is a Workbase?

A Workbase is an operational domain inside Nexis™ where a category of work is organized and managed. Examples may include Training, Compliance, Workforce, or Readiness. A Workbase is not simply an app—it is a structured operating environment that can coordinate workflows, data, tasks, users, and connected systems.

What is a Deck?

A Deck is a purpose-built operational workspace inside a Workbase focused on a specific function or outcome. Examples may include Training Deck, Audit Deck, Readiness Deck, Traceability Deck, or Staffing Deck.

A Deck is vendor-agnostic and platform-agnostic, meaning it is not tied to one software provider. It can organize workflows and integrate with existing systems, spreadsheets, learning platforms, traceability tools, or other software already used by an organization.

So are Workbases and Decks considered software?

They are best understood as operational system layers rather than traditional standalone apps. They may contain software features, dashboards, workflows, integrations, and automations—but their purpose is to structure and unify operations, not behave as isolated software products.

Is Nexisâ„¢ just a connector to other software?

No. Nexisâ„¢ can integrate with outside platforms when needed, but it is not merely middleware. It is the primary environment where operations are coordinated, monitored, and improved.

Can Nexisâ„¢ work with our current vendors or systems?

Yes. Nexisâ„¢ is designed to be flexible and can work alongside many existing systems. Organizations may keep current vendors while using Nexisâ„¢ to unify visibility, accountability, and workflow management across them.

Is Nexisâ„¢ AI-powered?

Nexisâ„¢ is not positioned as an AI gimmick. It is an Intelligent Operations System where intelligence is built into workflow design, connected visibility, accountability, structure, and execution.

Can Nexisâ„¢ replace every existing tool?

Not always. Some organizations may keep current systems. Nexisâ„¢ can unify critical functions while integrating where appropriate, reducing fragmentation without forcing unnecessary replacement.

Can Nexisâ„¢ support multi-site organizations?

Yes. Nexisâ„¢ is designed to support health systems and organizations with multiple facilities, helping standardize readiness, accountability, and visibility across locations.

Can Nexisâ„¢ help with audits and accreditation?

Yes. Nexisâ„¢ supports readiness by organizing documentation, workflows, ownership, training evidence, and operational visibility needed for inspections and audits.

What is MasterPlusâ„¢?

MasterPlusâ„¢ is a structured sterile processing training program designed to prepare individuals for certification and workforce readiness using the same type of system employers use.

Who is MasterPlusâ„¢ for?

MasterPlusâ„¢ is designed for students, career changers, uncertified employees, and individuals entering sterile processing who need a guided path into the profession.

How is MasterPlusâ„¢ different from Continuing Education (CE)?

MasterPlusâ„¢ is full-entry training for those preparing for certification. Continuing Education is for already certified professionals who need CE credits and ongoing professional development.

What makes SteriBoost training different?

Learners train on the same system employers use—not a disconnected classroom experience. This creates stronger workforce readiness and more relevant job preparation.

Who does SteriBoost serve?

SteriBoost serves hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, educators, consultants, workforce partners, and organizations seeking stronger operations.
